The Accounting Analyst reports directly to the Accounting Team Lead/Accounting Supervisor. The primary function is to be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The analyst will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting strategic financial decision-making.
Job Responsibilities
1. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
2. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement in financial data.
3. Present financial information to management and provide insights for decision-making.
4. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
5. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
6. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.
7. Reconcile Bank reconciliations monthly.
8. Prepare and post monthly journal entries.
9. Receive, review and post journal entries received from the local teams and other BSC towers.
10. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
11. Prepare and Update Desktop Procedures at least twice a year.
12. Prepare an Update Capacity file in order to list the activities performed and the time consumed by each of them.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, International Trade or Business Administration preferred. Also students in 3rd or 4th year, majoring in Public Accounting, Business Administration or similar.
Experience & Qualifications
1. Proven experience as an Accounting Analyst or similar role.
2. Knowledge in accounting software and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
6.
Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
7. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Knowledge and Skills
1. Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
2. Digital mindset for systems automation and connectivity.
3. Continuous improvement mindset for process improvements.
4. Understanding of financial analysis and statistics.
5. Skills in Google Suite.
Language Requirements
English: Intermediate - Advanced English.
Spanish: Mandatory.
