Record to Report Senior Accounting Analyst
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Senior Reporting Analyst reports directly to the Financial Planning and Reporting Team Lead. This position is responsible for financial reporting for the LATAM entities under IFRS. This position has no direct reports but acts as a team lead for the consolidation/reporting processes. The position will have interaction with Air Liquide internal customers within LATAM: Corporate departments and other Business units or entities under his/her scope of consolidation.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the consolidation and reporting of information to be provided to the management, Group, and Hub while meeting all deadlines.
2.
Responsible for the preparation of the balance sheet, cash flow statement, and some profit and loss data for Target and Reforecasts, and its reporting to the Group.
3. Responsible for the monthly preparation and reporting of the financial information and comments in the Group’s reporting package as well as the Legal/Structure information in VisualScope. Ensure close coordination with Operations control to publish the various reporting packages on time.
4. Find innovative ways to create efficiencies/improve analysis/reinforce quality and deliver cost savings.
5. Manage reporting calendars and adhere to the close deadlines. Work to improve the efficiency of monthly close processes.
6. Oversee the delivery of monthly required schedules and reports.
7. Participate in the Purchase Price Allocation for newly acquired entities, maintain reporting tools to report monthly results and review and support during ERP integrations.
8. Ensure that accounting is performed in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and BlueBook policies in collaboration with Clusters Corporate functions & management.
9. Ensure that reconciliations and journal entries are in compliance with Company policies.
10. Prepare the account analyses.
11. Maintain frequent, prompt, direct communication with Head Office to ensure proper Group reporting.
12. Prepare statutory and Tax financial statements for Air Liquide subsidiaries as needed.
13. Support on chart of accounts management.
14. Maintain, in collaboration with Legal, legal structure of the entities in Visual Scope.
15. Develop and/or review ad hoc schedules for planning and decision making, and assist with special projects as necessary.
16. Interact on a regular basis with internal customers (plant managers, store managers, supply chain management, procurement team, business units operations controllers, etc.) to point out and correct deviations identified in every monthly closing.
Are you a MATCH?
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
Experience/Certifications:
1. 6+ years accounting experience.
2. Consolidation and cash flows reporting highly desirable.
3. Certified accountant preferred.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
5. Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments.
6. Ability to plan, organize and set appropriate deadlines to colleagues to achieve deadlines with all information required.
7. Results-oriented, self-starter with the ability to manage conflicting priorities under tight deadlines.
8. Overtime is required during month-end close and occasionally at other times, possibly with little advance notice.
9. Experience in shared service center preferred.
10.
Experience in a multinational company desirable.
Language Requirements:
1. English: Advanced proficiency required [B2/C1].
2. Spanish mandatory.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
2. Solid understanding of financial analysis.
3. Advanced skills in Excel or in Google Sheets.
4. Ability to work and take initiative in a matrix organization.
5. Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
6. Digital mindset for systems automation and connectivity.
7. Continuous improvement mindset for process improvements.
