How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Accounting Team Lead/Accounting Supervisor. The primary function is to be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, including financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. The Senior Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Team Lead/Accounting Supervisor in those activities highlighted as critical and sensitive to the operation.
The Senior Analyst will also provide support to the accounting Team Lead/Accounting Supervisor by working as a focal point of certain activities and providing a clear status/summary of what has been done.
1. Receive, review and post journal entries received
2. Prepare and post monthly journal entries
3. Prepare and post recurring entries annually and update throughout the year as necessary
4. Execute monthly program to book-and-reverse journal entries from the prior month
5. Perform other financial accounting monthly close duties as assigned, including sending month-end reports to management
6. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
7. Prepare audit and tax request work papers and respond to internal and external audit requests
8. Enforce the company’s financial control policies
9. Assist the accounting Team Lead/Accounting Supervisor in coordinating certain critical/sensitive accounting tasks
10. Complete Key performance indicators timely
11. Analyze and document business processes and problems.
Develop solutions to enhance efficiency
12. Assist coaching other team members
13. Prepare and Update Standing Operating Procedures and Desktop Procedures at least twice a year
14. Prepare and Update Capacity file in order to list the activities performed and the time consumed by each of them
Are you a MATCH?
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
Experience/Certifications:
1. 6+ years accounting experience
2. Certified accountant
3. Oracle experience highly desirable
4. SAP experience is a plus
Language Requirements:
1. English: Advanced proficiency required [B2/C1]
2. Spanish mandatory
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
2. Ability to manage a team with significant expertise
3.
Solid understanding of financial analysis and statistics
4. Advanced skills in Google Suite
5. Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
6. Continuous improvement mindset for process improvements
