About the role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team in a remote capacity. As an Accounting Manager, you will work closely with Market Directors, the Supply Chain Team, Product Team, Engineering and Data Team contributing to cross-functional collaborations.

Responsibilities

Accounting Operations Management

1. Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
2. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations,



and other financial transactions prepared by the accounting team.
3. Monitor and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring proper recording and classification of transactions related to inventories, cost of goods sold (COGS), and other relevant accounts.
4. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits and assist in providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Netsuite and Inventory Management Software Implementation

1. Play a key role in the implementation of Netsuite and the Inventory Management software.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Product, Engineering and Data, to ensure seamless integration and proper configuration of systems.
3. Identify and communicate finance-related requirements and needs for the successful implementation of the software.
4.



Assist in the design and implementation of inventory valuation methodologies and controls within the system.

Inventory Management and Cost Control

1. Oversee the management of large inventories, including inventory valuation, costing methodologies, and physical inventory counts coordination.
2. Collaborate with the Supply Chain Team and the Accounts Payable Team to ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions including purchase orders, receipts and adjustments.
3. Implement and monitor internal controls related to inventory management and cost control to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.

Financial Reporting and Analysis

1. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports including weekly and monthly financial statements.
2.



Assist in the preparation of forecasts and other financial projections.

Team Leadership and Development

1. Supervise and mentor a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
2. Coordinate the weekly and monthly close processes, ensuring adherence to deadlines and accuracy of financial statements.
3. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional growth within the team.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
2. Experience as an Accounting Manager in a retail or mid-size company with a focus on large inventories is a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, inventory valuation, and cost accounting methodologies.
4.



Experience in implementing or working with Netsuite and Inventory Management software is highly desirable.
5. Excellent understanding of financial statements, internal controls, and GAAP.
6. Proficient in financial analysis and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate a team.
8. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
9. Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
10. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
