Job Description - Section Lead Helix Product (MER0003IIP) Description Deliver Helix products to customers from ADAS development
• Develop Helix products for ADAS developers, such as data ingest pipeline, computing services, digital testing, etc.
along the MB development process, including product design, product specification, architecture design and adaptation for China compliance cloud, feature ramp up plan and tracking, validation and release
• Drive continuous optimization of Helix products and features across projects of different generations.
Bring stakeholder feedbacks as well as lessons learnt from previous into next generation.
• Follow and further develop the MB ADAS DNA and philosophy
• Observe the Chinese and global markets and competitors, identify development potentials and ensure competitiveness of MB systems
• Cooperate with global system development teamsActively drive team transformation
• Design and drive the development of the team from product owners or developers of existing GEN5/6 projects towards end to end product owners or developers for globally rolled out systems
• Encourage and support product or feature adaptation to local Chinese requirements and development of own China specific products or featuresIncubate in depth system development competency in the team
• Establish a competence team for all required technical products in the chain of whole Helix offerings, including data ingestion, computing services, digital testing etc.
• Build up all required cross functional competences such as data protection, security assessment, compliance environment setup, CI/CD etc.Task Management
• Monitoring status and progress of work and making day-to-day adjustments in accordance with established priorities,
obtaining assistance from Supervisor as needed;
• Estimating and reporting on expected time of work completion and maintaining work records;
• Distributing and balancing workload among employees and assuring timely accomplishment and quality of workPeople Supervision & Team Development
• Assisting Supervisor with daily people supervision tasks including but not limited to recruitment, attendance & leave management and LEAD Goal Agreement, Appraisal, and Feedback process;
• Providing necessary performance coaching and feedback to team members;
• Reporting to Supervisor on performance, progression and training needs of team members and on disciplinary issues
• Assisting Supervisor on Section Team Employee Survey follow-ups and team building topicsTraining and Coaching to Team Members
• Instructing team members in tasks and job techniques and making available written instructions and reference materials
• Giving on the job training to new team member;
• Improving team know-how, answering questions of team members on procedures, policies, directives, etc.Qualifications MSc or PhD in Engineering or Automobile or equivalent qualification.
5 years of R&D; experience with focus on data-driven development in the field of ADAS for series passenger car projects.
Leading experience with teams across BUs and in intercultural environments.
Experiences in setting up or transforming teams for new projects with challenges like resources.
Deep knowledge of end-to-end data-driven toolchain development for ADAS, system/function release process and relevant China local and international suppliers.
Good knowledge of organizational structures as well as related R&D; processes and regulatory framework, esp.
data compliance.
Strong ability to build-up and maintain relationships with other organizations & suppliers.
Strong ability to resolve conflict with empathy and boldness in an intercultural working environment.
Strong willingness to go the extra mile to achieve committed goals.
Ability to innovate & challenge the existing.
Fluent in German and English language, additional Chinese helpful.
