Presbyterian Medical Group seeks a Board Eligible / Board Certified Palliative Care physician to join our established practice in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Practice Highlights:
- Average of 7-8 patients per day
- PRN coverage for growing northern New Mexico palliative care team
- Multi-disciplinary team to deploy on patient's behalf
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Assumes the attending role for hospice/palliative care patients in the community and in Presbyterian hospice units, unless followed by their PCP.
- As a consultant, works with patient and family to develop a recommended plan of care that supports appropriate medical treatment in concordance with the patient’s goals of care.
- Uses clinical skills to relieve the suffering of patients and their families.
- Provides support and oversight of the work of the hospice/palliative care team RN, APN or PAs direct patient care activities, as required by Medical Staff Bylaws.
Minimum Requirements:
MD/DO in a primary medical field appropriate to ABHPM standards. Prefer fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine expected within 2 years of employment.
