The Regional Solution Lead for LATAM Indirect Tax (IDT) is a business leadership role that plays a crucial role in overseeing the effective planning, execution, and optimization of Indirect Tax services from KDN in LATAM. His/her primary responsibility is to ensure the successful implementation of solutions, spearheading strategic initiatives, driving client satisfaction, managing financial aspects, cultivating a positive work culture, upholding quality standards, and driving excellence, ultimately contributing to the overall success of KDN.

How you will make your mark • This is the KDN leader responsible for its IDT compliance business in the LATAM region, including quality, efficiency,



client experience (member firms and their clients), and the overall P&L.; • Responsible for new solution design at KDN level (in liaison with KDN’s Global Solution Lead for IDT and the respective KPMG International’s Global Operations Lead for IDT), on product innovation and continuous improvement (incl. operational excellence) • Responsible for the development and execution of the Business Strategy related to the KDN IDT solution in LATAM • Ensures the effective implementation of the identified opportunities and end-to-end solution delivery methodologies • Provides guidance in developing and deploying the adoption plan to improve service penetration, monitors its execution across KDN LATAM and drives the plan by building and maintaining relationship with KPMG Global Operations Lead. • Develops and ensures adherence to standard process, owns the change control to standard process for KDN and signs off any exception to standard process.



• Accountable for the quality of service delivery • Ensures client satisfaction by ensuring fit for purpose client care practices and processes are in place, by managing relationships at global, regional and local Member Firm levels, and by building relationships with major clients. This includes serving as an escalation point to resolve service delivery if they occur. • Serves in a KDN Engagement Lead for at least one significant client that utilizes his/her KDN solution. This is important to ensure a closeness to the market and the needs of clients. • Oversees client onboarding, transition and contracting processes, ensures standardization with KDN T&L; • Contributes to business growth by closely collaborating with sales, MFs and different business forums, by being involved in the go to market strategy building, by identifying and realizing upselling opportunities • Ensures high visibility and an in-depth understanding of the solution by stakeholders (clients, MFs,



T2 CoEs, Adoption and Center Leads), supports sales if needed (e.g. joining pitches) • Understands the engagement profitability and also its management, responsible for setting the revenue plan, drives growth, owns the P&L; for own solution, ensures revenue targets gross margins met. • Ensures proper and competitive pricing for the solution(s) & products, ensures that up-to-date rate cards exist, manages exceptions in pricing • Ensures accurate billing and on-time cash collection • Ensures the necessary technology and automation requirements are developed and implemented for the solution, including business cases and budget for any new technology, signs off on technology solution designs. This includes continuous improvement,



automation opportunities and participating in setting up the vision for the design of our IDT processes. It is important for this leader to stay updated on what is used in the market, to help in evolving our model according to what is asked by the clients and what is new in the market • Determines the LATAM location strategy of for new solutions & products in LATAM Indirect Taxes within the framework of KDN’s overall Location Strategy, in consultation with Regional Center & Adoption Head, KDN’s Global Solution Lead for IDT, the GITS Ops Lead, other KDN Solution Owners, Head of T&L; QRM, and Head of KDN T&L;) • Accountable to meet the productivity targets established (e.g. % reduction in YoY cost, LATAM pricing model targets, utilization, etc.) by attracting new clients to serve in the delivery center, and collaborating with the center & delivery heads who are Responsible for meeting those KPIs.



• Defines the solution’s integration of client management with delivery roles, noting that the Center & Delivery Head is accountable/responsible for the local organizational design. • Provides inputs to the Regional Center Head on the regional IDT people strategy overall (in alignment with the global strategy for IDT solution) to ensure that people factors are measured and monitored on key metrics to the solution • Ensures solution-level skill definition (technical and professional) exists, employees are trained in processes, skills are developed, solution related technical skills and hard skills are built and maintained, and ensures that tax technology training is available for staff • Ensures a BCP / DR (Business Continuity Plan / Disaster Recovery) strategy is developed and implemented for the region,



in collaboration with the Heads of Centers & Delivery • Defines and drives IDT solution related governance for T&L; in the Region • People leadership responsibilities for direct reports General Skills • Business leadership with executive presence, and an excellent collaborative relationship builder • Stakeholder management and influencing skills • Client service experience with demonstrated client centricity • Global mindset and experience in supporting client engagements across multiple locations, working with multi-disciplinary leaders • Strategic perspective – spotting opportunities to simplify and improve processes to drive better results • Proven track record of managing and delivering projects
