We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join the team and lead the tax department for one of our leading clients in the Accounting Industry. The Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and accounting within the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Tax Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with all tax regulations and optimize the company's tax position.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize efficiency.
2. Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.
3.
Manage and oversee the preparation of tax provisions and financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
4. Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate implications to management and relevant stakeholders.
5. Conduct tax research and analysis to support decision-making processes.
6. Utilize accounting software and tax return preparation software to streamline tax processes and enhance accuracy.
7. Provide guidance and support to internal teams on tax-related matters, including financial reporting and planning.
8. Supervise and mentor a multinational team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and excellence.
9. Lead and coordinate tax audits and inquiries, working closely with external auditors and tax authorities.
10. Collaborate with legal, finance, and other departments to ensure alignment on tax-related initiatives and objectives.
11. Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in business/corporate taxes, with a focus on tax compliance, planning, and accounting.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and tax return preparation software (e.g., QuickBooks, TurboTax, etc.).
4. Advanced proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
6. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
7. Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong desire for continuous learning and professional development.
8. Demonstrated leadership attitude,
with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence.
9. Experience supervising and leading multinational teams is preferred.
10. Bilingual (Spanish and English).
