Job Description
As a Systems Engineer, your primary responsibilities center on the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex systems or networks, with the aim of ensuring their efficient and effective operation.
-Lead the planning and design of systems or networks, meticulously considering performance, scalability,
reliability, and security factors. This entails creating comprehensive system architecture diagrams, meticulously selecting appropriate hardware and software components, and defining precise system requirements.
-Expertly configure and set up systems, installing essential software, and orchestrating seamless integration among all components upon design completion. This often involves collaborative efforts with cross-functional team members and departments.
-Seamlessly integrate novel systems into existing infrastructure, rigorously ensuring compatibility between new components or technologies and the current systems, facilitating smooth data flow.
-Maintain a vigilant stance regarding the continuous operation of systems, promptly addressing issues through proactive maintenance, applying updates, patching vulnerabilities,
and effectively resolving technical challenges.
-Diligently monitor system and network performance, swiftly detecting and resolving any anomalies to maintain optimal functionality.
-Champion the security of systems and data, proactively implementing stringent security measures, conducting regular security audits, and staying abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices.
-Uphold meticulous documentation practices, capturing system configurations, processes, and procedures in detail for future reference and training purposes.
-Foster close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including software developers, network administrators, and IT support staff, to achieve shared goals and efficiently tackle technical challenges.
-Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to swiftly identify and resolve complex technical issues with efficiency and precision.
-Stay at the forefront of technological advancements and trends, enabling informed recommendations and seamless implementation of system upgrades or changes to maintain competitiveness and security.
-Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations and compliance standards, particularly in highly regulated sectors such as healthcare or finance.
-Develop and maintain robust disaster recovery plans and backup strategies, safeguarding data integrity and ensuring system availability in response to unforeseen events or failures.
Qualifications:
Experience in service management, with a strong understanding of customer needs, service delivery, and governance against service levels.
End-User Support: Proficient in configuring and troubleshooting Operating Systems,
Office Applications, VPNs, and network connectivity. Experience with Microsoft O365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and digital certificates.
Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring technical teams, driving innovation, and achieving business objectives.
Problem-Solving: Extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving issues.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to manage user requests, service interruptions, and collaborate with specialized teams.
