About the job

Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is a company within the Arla Foods Group and a global leader in natural whey ingredients for many different categories, including bakery, beverages, dairy and infant and sport nutrition.

Joining AFI at our office in Buenos Aires, Argentina,



you will be responsible for delivering the level of sales in our business units in Southern Cone with focus on Argentina. You will furthermore have a link to global markets through coordination with AFI´s headquarter located in Denmark.

It will be your mission to act independently to deliver the business and overseeing performance against targets. You will do so by preparing and following up sales forecasts, processes samples and sales orders towards the defined strategic Direction.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to:

1. Visit existing and new customers and distributors who may be of strategic importance to the organization both in Argentina and in Chile.
2. Assess customer and distributors' needs and suggest appropriate products, services, and concepts.
3. Organize visits to current and potential clients and distributors, drive new business project pipeline keeping track through CRM.
4. Respond to more complex customer enquiries.
5. Negotiate prices and delivery times within limits of authority and conclude sales orders to meet targets.
6. Identify, research,



and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeating business.
7. Pursue and refer sales leads, customer feedback and information on competitor activity to appropriate contacts within the organization to respond to changing market conditions and customer demands.
8. Develop long-term sales plans for key customers, accounts and distributors, monitors and adapts sales activities to meet the objectives.
9. Establish annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales plans prioritize and schedule own activities to reach these targets.
10. Coach and mentor less experienced account managers to achieve their sales targets.
11. Manage customers credit limit to ensure that customer orders are processed, dispatched, invoiced, and paid accurately and on time.

Who are you?

Good planning and organization skills,



being able to handle multiple projects at the same time and good interpersonal skills are of course natural skills for an Account Manager. However, your success in this position lies mainly in your ability to be a respectful team player with a will to make a difference.

We imagine that you have:

1. Solid sales and commercial experience in B2B food ingredients. Food, Feed, Dairy and Sports Nutrition may be an advantage.
2. Hunter profile and energy to develop new sales potential.
3. A university degree in Food Engineering or related areas, Business, or other relevant area.
4. Business fluency both in English and in Spanish.
5. Customer oriented and driven.
6. Interested in travelling 25% of your time.
